Data sources & attributions

Every fact on a Zenji company page comes from a named source, and profile pages say which. We keep business facts only — never a private person's street address.

Public registries

Websites of businesses

A company's own website address is taken from Overture Maps Places (below) and kept only after the site itself shows the company's name. Profiles are filled from those public pages by ZenjiBot, which follows robots.txt.

Overture Maps Foundation — Places

Contains information from the Overture Maps Foundation. We use only records whose every source is permissively licensed:

• Meta, Microsoft, PinMeTo, Krick, RenderSEO, DAC, BrightQuery — CDLA Permissive 2.0.
• Foursquare — Apache 2.0. Copyright 2024 Foursquare Labs, Inc. All rights reserved. Foursquare data was transformed to the Overture schema.

Records that involve any other source (for example ODbL-licensed datasets) are not used.
