ZenjiBot

ZenjiBot is the program Zenji uses to read a company's own public website, so its profile can show what the company says about itself. It only runs for companies that have a website on file.

What it does

• Reads at most 3 pages: the homepage, /contact and /about.
• Sends at most 1 request per second to a site, and stops at the first error.
• Follows robots.txt. If it forbids ZenjiBot on the homepage, nothing is read.
• Keeps business facts only — description, phone, generic contact address (info@, contact@…), social pages, logo.
• Never keeps a person's name or personal mailbox.
• Records the page each fact came from; profile owners can correct or remove anything.
